Arturo M. Raschbaum
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Raschbaum has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Maiden Holdings since November 2008. From 1994-2008, Mr. Raschbaum held several leadership positions with GMAC Insurance Holdings, including president of GMAC Insurance and president of GMAC RE and its predecessors. Mr. Raschbaum holds a BBA from the University of Texas at El Paso and attended the Stanford University Executive Program. Mr. Raschbaum serves on the board of advisors of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice and has served on the board of governors of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America.
John Marshaleck
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Marshaleck has served as Chief Financial Officer of Maiden Holdings since August 2009, and previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Secretary. From 1983-2008, Mr. Marshaleck served in several capacities with GMAC RE and its predecessors, including president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Mr. Marshaleck holds a BBA from Temple University.
Karen Schmitt
President of Maiden Reinsurance Company and Maiden Specialty Insurance Company
With over 30 years of reinsurance experience, Ms. Schmitt joined Maiden Re (formerly GMAC RE) in 1999 after holding positions as Chief Actuary and Senior Vice President at TIG Holdings, Vice President of American Reinsurance, and various positions at Prudential Property and Casualty. Ms. Schmitt earned her MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Lebanon Valley College. She is a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of both the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Ronald M. Judd
President of Maiden Global Holdings, Ltd.
Mr. Judd has served as President of Maiden Global Holdings, Ltd. since December 2010. From 2000 to 2010, Mr. Judd held a variety of leadership positions at GMAC Insurance (GMACI), most recently serving as Executive Vice President - International. In this role, Mr. Judd led GMACI's $1.2 billion international extended service contract, property and casualty, life and fee income generation businesses. Prior to joining GMACI, Mr. Judd spent 10 years at General Motors Corporation, serving in several capacities, including Director of Corporate Risk Financing and as President of GM's Bermuda-based insurance subsidiary. Mr. Judd holds a B.S. degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
Patrick J. Haveron
Executive Vice President
Mr. Haveron has served as Executive Vice President of Maiden Holdings since 2010 and as President of Maiden Global Servicing Company, LLC since October 2009. From 2004-2009, Mr. Haveron was President and Chief Executive Officer of Preserver Group, Inc., a publicly-traded property and casualty insurer, after having served in a variety of financial and executive leadership roles since 1988. Mr. Haveron was also Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tower Group, Inc., a publicly-traded property and casualty insurer, from 2007-2009 after its acquisition of Preserver in 2007. Mr. Haveron has previously served on the board of governors of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and is a graduate of the University of Scranton.
Lawrence F. Metz, Esq.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mr. Metz has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Maiden Holdings since June 2009. From 2007-2009, Mr. Metz served as Vice President, General Counsel - US Operations and Assistant Secretary of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a publicly-traded multinational property and casualty insurer specializing in coverage for small businesses. From 2004-2007, Mr. Metz served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Conversion Services International, Inc., a publicly-traded provider of information management and business process optimization solutions. Mr. Metz received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Metz serves on the Board of Advisors of the RAND Center for Corporate Ethics and Governance.
